Hi! My name is Roxanne, and I'm ten years old. The purpose of this web site is not only to earn some money for a new rabbit hutch but for people of almost all ages to learn about the books I like and that I think other kids would like. I have a description of books I really like, and my review of the story along with an age recommendation. Kate, a ten-year-old girl starts communicating on her computer with what someone that says they're from outer space! This space alien wants to come and visit our planet. To find out the rest of this comedy with a computer twist you'll have to read the book! It may seem like a story only girls would like because the main character is named Kate, but I read it to my brother and he liked it a lot so it's good for both boys or girls. Henry finds out that his mother owns 3 acres with a barn on it that he can use. His adventures begin when he decides to open a research center in the barn with his new partner, Midge Glass. From selling worms to painted turtles at a garden club meeting (and anything you can think of in-between). This is one book for kids ages eight and up that you don't want to miss! Brighty of the Grand Canyon
	Brighty of the Grand Canyon by Marguerite Henry, ISBN 0-68971-4858. I first read this book when I was in second grade and, I haven't stopped reading it ever since. Even now that I'm going into fifth grade I still enjoy the adventurous characters, descriptive paragraphs, and the thrilling story. This classic is about a lone burro that lives in the Grand Canyon of Arizona. The burro's name is Brighty. I would recommend this book for ages eight and up. Order from Amazon.com - $3.16 softcover
The Trumpet of the Swan
	The Trumpet of the Swan by E. B. White, ISBN 0-06026-3970. Louis, a Trumpeter Swan comes into the world without a voice. Once he realizes this he becomes very frightened. A young boy who loved all of nature's creatures finds Louis and takes the swan to school with him. There Louis learned how to read and write. With these new skills Louis is able to finally communicate with others. Not only does Louis win the heart of anyone who reads this story, but of another Trumpeter Swan. Charlotte's Web
	Charlotte's Web by E. B. White, ISBN 0-06026-3857. E.B. White's Charlotte's Web is one of the first chapter books I picked up. This is an exquisite book about a kind, and wise spider that saves a pig named Wilbur, from being put on a breakfast plate. (And from loneliness.) This story shows loyalty and friendship between two animals.
